Hiro, a lovely and loving dog, has always been known as a decent guy, and recently he shown his high character and kind heart. Something unexpected occurred when Hiro and his mother, Viviana Dávila, were relaxing and taking a nap in the backyard of his home in Puerto Rico.
Hiro stood up to explore an odd thing that caught his attention near to the patio fence.
The moment the dog came closer, he knew he had discovered something—or rather someone—and he wanted Viviana to know.
As she stated to The Dodo:
“Hiro was licking something off the grass, I saw. Hiro licked the object while staring at me, then insisted on doing it once more. As soon as I realized something was wrong, I went over to Hiro.
Upon approaching, Viviana saw that the dog had discovered an injured parrot that required immediate assistance.

Says Vivian
“I took up a towel right away once I found it. He had no real means of defense.
The dog’s instinct for love undoubtedly allowed him to discover the baby bird and save it from certain death, but he was still willing to go above and beyond that. The young bird was paraplegic, possibly as a result of falling from his nest, according to Viviana, who discovered this after taking him to the doctor.
This meant that the small parrot had a very little chance of surviving in the wild on his own and needed care. In addition, if Hiro hadn’t discovered him quickly, he most likely would have died on the ground or been consumed by an animal.
The parrot, however, appeared to have other ideas; by acting in this way, he demonstrated that he was a warrior and that he intended to survive at any costs.
Particularly because of this, Viviana gave him the name Hope and determined that she would adopt him into her family and take excellent care of him.
Virgie said:
“The vet informed us that in situations like this, he advises people to euthanize their pets. He was shocked, though, to find Hope fighting for her life.
As directed by the veterinarian, Viviana has been giving Hope regular meals and doing her best to keep him secure.
